Based in the Southern Highlands, The Techery is a company made up of passionate and experienced locals. We place our customers at the centre of our business, and we aim to bring back good old, down-to-earth, local customer service.
We hail from various areas of expertise, from major telco companies to small-scale internet service providers. We also have extensive credentials in the technical fields, marketing, customer service, after-care support and smART automation specialties.
Our General manager Casey is the captain of The Techery ship. She is the first point of contact for all our new clients and brings with her over 15 years of experience from various different industries.
In mid ‘22, Casey and her fellow directors recognised a gap in the Southern Highlands market for a comprehensive services company that provides solutions for the up and coming field of smART home and business automations.
She thought to combine her venture into this field with her strong foundations in rural internet solutions to create the perfect hub for current and new advances in smART technology to grow and flourish.
Casey is passionate about making sure that every one of The Techery customers is cared for in a genuine and personable way, while also encouragingly driving the team to execute jobs and meet deadlines.
She's excited to bring The Techery to you and to help fulfill your internet and smART technology needs!
Nicole is our wonderful Operations Manager that ensures that every customer's needs are taken care of, bringing with her a diverse range of experience and skills across the executive administrative field over the last 15 years.
After a few years working in the Rural Internet space, she couldn’t be more excited to branch out into two areas that she felt would add value to people’s lives – Saving people time (hello smART Automations) and adding a sense of security to their day to day lives (smART Surveillance).
You will find yourself talking to Nicole to schedule your installations, for customer service enquiries or to handle your account! With a passion for fostering the company values and vision Nicole has developed our customer service offering, maintains billing and organises the technicians schedule as her core role.
Nicole has high ethics and integrity with a friendly yet confident and productive management style shown through her work and willing to go that extra mile to guarantee customer, team and management satisfaction.
We couldn’t do this without Nicole’s dedication to customers and their experience with The Techery.
When the opportunity for Reuben to come on board as The Techery Head of Technical Operations arose, he dived straight into the role without hesitation. Guided by his passion for smART technology, he brings with him many years experience in the telecommunications industry with specialist skills in Rural Internet, infrastructure, internal networking, and enhanced data solutions.
Aside from his well established skill set, Reuben is deeply invested in our high standard of customer service and takes a lot of pride in prioritizing quality and satisfaction for each and every job, no matter the scope.
Reuben is looking forward to the possibilities of the upcoming year and can’t wait to work with The Techery team to help it flourish and reach it’s full potential!
A jack of all trades, Lewis has experience in multiple fields including electrical, property maintenance, waterproofing and is still a practicing real estate agent.
He’s down to earth, friendly and loves meeting and chatting to customers on the job.
Lewis has an invested interest in the world of smART technology and sees great potential in bringing it to the Southern Highlands.
Being a local himself, he’s proud of the fact that he can share all the benefits of implementing what The Techery has to offer with many of the familiar faces that he’s met in previous roles.

Introducing Senior Field Technician Seleni, or as we call lovingly call him, Leni.
Seleni hails from Fiji where he has worked in the technology and communications industry.
He's here in Australia broadening his knowledge of IT at university and spending time with his mum who resides in the Southern Highlands.
Leni is a highly skilled Technician with 14 Years experience in Networking, Security Systems, TV solutions, Satellite Dish Servicing and PBX Systems. He also has experience with training and education.
As always with all The Techery Team, Seleni's aim is to maintain high-quality service for all clients.
Guy Power brings a versatile and hands-on approach to his role as Provisioning Manager at The Techery.
With a background in logistics and a keen eye for detail, Guy ensures that every project is equipped and ready to go—from sourcing and preparing technical equipment to coordinating the seamless handover between office and field teams.
Though new to the tech industry, Guy has quickly adapted, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a strong commitment to The Techery’s high service standards. Whether he’s in the office managing procurement or on-site supporting the technicians, Guy plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.
Driven by a proactive mindset and a team-first attitude, Guy is dedicated to delivering reliable, behind-the-scenes support that enables outstanding outcomes for every client.
Jayden is our Field Technician and a proud part of The Techery team, representing the next generation of local talent in the Southern Highlands.
Being a Highlands local and part of the extended Techery family,
Jayden brings a strong sense of commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to learn to every project he’s involved in.
Working alongside our experienced technicians, Jayden is building his skills across networking, Starlink installations and smART technology systems, gaining hands-on experience in the field.
At The Techery, we’re passionate about supporting and growing local talent, and Jayden is a great example of our commitment to expanding our team in a way that feels like family.
